Through First Southwest’s clearing services, each account is provided with an excess of fifteen million dollars of insurance. This protection consists of $500,000 in basic SIPC coverage (including $100,000 for cash positions) and an additional 15 million dollars of coverage provided by Lloyds of London at no additional cost to the customer.
